CAFA is pleased to join the Advisory Board of the National Observatory on Violence against Educators (ONVE).
The Observatory is led by the Fluminense Federal University in partnership with the Brazilian Ministry of Education, and also collaborates with the Ministry of Human Rights. The Observatory will conduct academic research and surveys at the national level to generate data that will better characterize the phenomena of persecution and violence against educators in the country. It plans to develop protocols for the legal and psychological support of persecuted educators and materials for campaigns on the issue, thus influencing public policies to defend the freedom to teach and learn in Brazil.
