This report is the result of meetings and consultations carried out by the Working Group on Academic Freedom (WGAF), formed to summarize the protection of academic freedom under international law. It continues the work initiated in 2020, by the UN Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression on this subject.
